General Supplies/ Procedures/ Grading Policy:
Looseleaf Notebook Paper, pencils, textbook, and Binder/Spiral/Workbook need to be brought to class EVERY DAY. Upon entering the classroom, students will need to copy the daily objective into their Agenda Book, and then begin on the Warm-up that will be posted on the board/overhead. All warm-ups are to be completed in the spiral, and should be corrected as we discuss in class.
Mondays are “organization day”. Every Monday students will need to record the tests/quizzes and upcoming events in their Agenda books. Agenda books will be required for all classes, and I encourage all parents to look at the agenda book, and follow along with their child’s current unit of study.
While all work assigned is important, all work is NOT graded/counted equally. Following is a breakdown of the various percentages that each TYPE of assignment is worth.
Dailywork/ Quizzes 50%
Tests/Projects 40%
Homework 10%

Every Tuesday when the graded math assignments are passed out, students should record their assignments and percentage grades onto their gradesheet. At the end of the grading period, extra credit will be given for those students who turn in a completed gadesheet along with the math calculations that show how they acheived their overall average. Each student will be responsible for keeping up with their own gradesheet and I encourage all students and parents to check the poweschool website weekly to verify that all grades are indeed being recorded on it.
